Fannie Lou Hamer - Activist
Born: October 6th, 1917
Died: March 14th, 1977
Fannie Lou Hamer was a very important influence during the 1960's Civil Rights Movement. She co-founded the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party in 1964, which gave an alternate choice to the all-white political candidates of the year. Hamer also coined the phase "sick and tired of being sick and tired" during her activism.
