James Brown is the Godfather of Soul and the originator of funk. There will never be a man as smooth as Mr. Brown.
Brown was a singer/songwriter, activist, and all around "sex machine". He believed in the empowerment of the Black community, and felt that Black people could do so without violence, like fellow activist Martin Luther King, Jr.
But we all know James Brown was just as smooth on the eyes, as he was on his feet.
