Faith Ringgold - Painter, Artist, Author, Activist
Born: October 8th, 1930


Faith Ringgold is a political painter and writer who focuses her work on the issues of sexism and
race. Her art work has helped diversify the New York art scene. Ringgold was born in Harlem, New York and graduated from the City College of New York.
