BHM Stylin': Sidney Poitier

Sidney Poitier, film maker and film actor, has been a great man in Black history and a prominent influence in Black entertainment. If it wasn't for him men like Denzel Washington and Jaime Foxx wouldn't even be on the map.

Mister Poitier was the first Black Man to win an Academy Award for his performance in Lilies of the Field in 1964.

"If I'm remembered for having done a few good things and if my presence here has sparked some good energies, that's plenty."

– Sidney Poitier
